A

1) Peripheral smear (if chronic or FH to rule out congenital causes)
2) Coombs test

treatment of warm AIHA + dosing

A

(Steroids until anemia resolves, then taper)
Prednisone 1-2 mg/kg/day
continue prednisone until Hgb >10
taper prednisone over 4-6 months
IF pred not effective within 2-3 weeks → add Rituximab
