A

A

Aspirin throughout pregnancy (pregnancy is thrombogenic)

- can’t give hydroxyurea

Important sequelae of ET + incidence + clinical importance

A

Acquired vWF (20% of patients develop acquired vWF due to consumption of vWF multimers secondary to platelet activation and proteolysis) – this limits ability to use aspirin in treatment. You can prevent acquired vWF using cytoreduction.
