angiosarcoma
roughly 5% of all cancers
more common in males
more than 85% of cases occur in countries with high rates of HBV
etiology:
viral (HBV/HCV)
chronic alcohol abuse
pain, jaundice, malaise, and weight loss
hepatocellular carcinoma
less than 1/100,000 per year in the US; no gender or race predilection
risk factors:
primary sclerosing cholangitis
thorotrast exposure
liver fluke (parasite) -opisthorchis sinesis
cholangiocarcinoma
far more common than primary liver tumors
- common metastasis:breat, colon, lung
- -presents with multiple lesions
metastasic neoplasm
