= damage to the host’s body cells- toxins
= killing the hosts cells- virus bursring out of cells

white blood cells are stimultaed to:
1= engulf + digest pathogen- phagocytosis
2= produce antibodies- from B cells (specific response)
3= produce antitoxins- antibodies also b cells
