Q

What is disatole?

A

= atria and ventricle are relaxing
= blood flows into the atria by the vena cava and pulomnary vein-
= pressure in atria increases
= at one point pressure in atria is greater than pressure in ventricles- causes atrioventicular vaves to open into the venticle

Q

What is atriole systole?

A

= atria contracts
= pushes remaining blood from atria down to the ventricle

Q

What is venticle systole?

A

= ventricles contract
= pressure rises rapidly
= the ventricular pressure is greater than the atria pressure, atroventrocular valbes closes
= prevents blood back into the atria from ventricle
= semilunar vlaves open- blood is pumped from ventricles out of heart
=

Q

what is ventricular distole?

A

= ventricles relax
= pressure in ventriclesfalls below pulomnary artery and aorta, semi lunar valves shut, prevents blood back into ventricles
