Deltoid (abduction after 15 degrees), teres minor (adduction and lateral rotation) and sensation over deltoid and lateral arm

Injured at surgical head of humerus and anterior shoulder dislocation

wrist drop (loss of all extension), dec wrist strength (extensors needed for max action of flexors) and sensation over posterior arm/forearm and dorsal hand

Injured by mid-shaft humerus fracture or crutches

Wrist flexion, flexion and lumbricals of lateral fingers, thumb (opponens, abduction, flexion)

Sensation in thenar eminence, palmar lateral 3.5 fingers

Injured distally by carpal tunnel and wrist lac

Injured proximally by supracondylar fracture

Wrist flexion, medial finger flexion, interosseous muscles, medial lumbricals, hypothenar (opponens, abduction, flexion)

Sensation over medial 1.5 fingers and hypothenar eminence

Injured distally by fractured hook of hamate

Injured proximally by medial epicondyle/funny bone injury
