Which bacteria cannot be gram stained? (11)
Treponema, Leptospira - too small
Mycobacteria - cell wall w/ lipid content
Myoplasma, ureaplasma - no cell wall
Legionella, Rickettsia, Chlamydia, Bartonella, Anaplasma, Ehrlichia - primarily intracellular
**Chlamydia also has dec muramic acid so less peptidoglycans (“no mermaids”)
