What causes TTS?
A
- Entrapment/compression of the tibial nerve
*occurs medially, posterior to medial malleolus

What is the presentation?
A
- Varies
- Will be vague complaints
*diffusive pain, pain at medial ankle, difficult to localize, tingling/burning - Worse at night

What are the PE findings
A
- Tenderness over the Tarsal tunnel +Tinel’s
- May have decreased sensation over plantar foot (tibial nerve distribution)

What are the tests to conduc?
A
- Radiographs
- MRI
- EMG/NCS

What is the treatment
A
- Orthotics
- Tarsal tunnel release
