- FOOSH
*wrist is in Dorsiflexion and radial deviation

How should you treat a scaphoid fracture?
A
- As if there is a fracture (even if X-rays don’t show a fracture)
*may be tenderness in the anatomical snuff box

What are the diagnostic test?`
A
- XRays
- Bone scans or follow up X-rays at 7-14 days
*can consider MRI or CT

What are some complications of a scaphoid fracture?
A
- AVN
- Delayed union, nonunion

What is the treatment of a scaphoid fracture?
A
- Thumb spica cast
*short arm cast
*wrist slightly dorsiflexed
*thumb in pinch position
