What causes cubital tunnel syndrome?
A
- Ulnar nerve compression at the cubital tunnel along the medial elbow
*will cause Paresthesia/pain along the ulnar nerve distribution (worse with elbow flexion)

What will be found on the PE?
A
- Positive Tinel’s sign at elbow
- +Froments sign
*hold paper and compensates with flexion of the thumb IP joint

What is the treatment
A
- Wrist and elbow immobilization (especially with sleep)
- NSAIDs
- Intraarticular steroids (chronic)
- surgery with ulnar nerve decompression as last resort
*nerve will be placed at the front
