-the state itself has responsibility for deifninf what is illegal, has power to avoid defining its own acts as illegal

-everyone everywhere should be entitled to far and just treatment wherever they are in the world

what was the Rohingya genocide/ethnic cleansing about?
-people fleed home town to bangladesh as it was invaded by troops who raped girls/women
-targeted for being muslim-buddhist
-many killed
why was rohingya a state crime
-state said they didnt do it
-wasent a genocide but were responding to attacks
-state neutralized involvement
-left w/o place to live
why was the Uhyghurs a state crime
-persecuted to religion
-justfiied by saying it was not prisons but scjools for criminals
-infact they endocrinated/tortured
-turkish muslim group
-uhghurs were trying to get their own state
-china dont want that so they opressed and attacked
-the state able to do this due to their position
why was the hijab laws iran a state crime
-imprisoned for wearing hijab improperly
-beaten across the head and went into coma and died
-society began protest
-gov didn’t respond
-gov had laws and rules in place so wont punish police for ‘doing their role’
