(strenghths)
-feminist movement has led to intro of legisaltion which has improved the lives of women
evaluation of feminsim
(weaknesses)
-feminism is less relevant now as postmodernsit society is more gender equal
-postmodern society is fragmented so so no longer useful to lump all women together (experiences vary e.g class, ethnicity, religion
-men disadvanatged in some areas too e.g education and their representation in childcare and nursing
-feminism is overly determinsitic (underestimates choice) and that women have over control over their lives
-HAKIM- argues women are disadvataged by their own choice rather than patriarchy e.g if women choose to have children they will have priortised it over work
