-if not reported there will be more neglect
-gradually neighbourhoods detroiate
-anti social behvaiour will grow e.g vandalism, litter , graffiti
-sense of community is key for saftey
-police should have 0 tolernace( adress all antisocial behaviour)
-prevents high crime rates in deprived areas
