• values can affect the topic chose but shouldn’t impact the data collection process
  -values and prejudices should be carefully considered when examining ethics of the research
  -findings should be open to inspection, criticism and debate by other researchers

can you think of any other things that researchers could do to enhance value freedom

-get the ppl who said it to check so they agree it’s a fair interpretation of what they said
