-IMPACT= when schools improved, m/c tried to get their kids in as they were ‘privledged school chooosers’ but it didnt lead to better schools

-AIM= exam results put on league tables to show progres pupils made rather than raw achievements
-IMPACTS= harder for schools to manipulate but selective schools w more able pupils will still do better.
