-world becomes interconnected in terms of economy, travel, communication etc leading to criminal economy

what is drug trafficking?
-production in trade of illegal drugs has grown
-some people in the less developed world have been left out of the benfits of the legal globalised economy and turn to production of drugs(doesnt cost much to grow)
-those who dont have money seek alternatives
-global media responsible to putting light on culutre of materalism
-global markets have become de regulated and can move products around the world easily
what is human trafficking?
-recuritment and transportation of people(slavery, forced problem)
-working girls in sex trade
-18,000 women working in brothels across the UK
-tricked or lured to come to UK under false hope
-threatned their loved ones will be harmed if try to escape
what is cyber crime?
-use of tech
-risk of getting caught is low (across countries)
-whitty= many victims to fraud e.g charity, lottery, romance
-charity(action fraud) claims less than 10% of pop acc report the crime
-computer based crimes makes national borders less significant
