1. When a covert/warehouse vehicle is involved in a crash or damaged property incident, a
supervisor must conduct an administrative investigation as outlined in Order 572
(Professional Oversight). The completed BlueTeam report and any other associated
documents will be sent or faxed to the Police Impound Warehouse at (904) 630-0216.
2. When a covert/warehouse vehicle is wrecked, damaged, or disabled during normal business
hours the warehouse should be notified immediately via phone at (904) 630-8277. The
warehouse staff will determine if a city wrecker is available to recover the vehicle.

C. Minimizing Warehouse Vehicle Inventory
1. To aid in minimizing the inventory of held vehicles, the Warehouse Unit will annually send a
complete list of all vehicles being held for evidence to the State Attorney’s Office (SAO) Homicide Director and the commanding officer of any unit for which a vehicle is being held. JSO commanding officers who receive this list shall review it and, after consulting with the SAO, release holds on any vehicles that are no longer needed.

Citation Accountability Unit shall require the following procedures:
