1. The mourning band (commonly known as a badge shroud or badge cover) is a solid black band or thin blue line band that will fit tightly around the JSO badge. The mourning band should be worn straight across the center of the badge.
2. The width of the black band should not exceed 3/4 inch.
3. Mourning bands will be worn in a manner where the bottom edge of the band rests on top of the horizontal line above the word “Jacksonville” on the breast and pocket badge.
