Q

What does hypoxia do to the cell

A

without oxygen, anaerobic metabolism ramps up, building up lactic acid which drop pH which cause denaturing effects, also with less or no ATP produced the energy dependent Na/K membrane pump can’t work properly so NA and K aren’t balance in/out of the cell causing water and ions to build up in the cell
