- beta-2 receptors are found in the smooth muscle of the bronchi, GI tract, uterus and blood vessels
- G proteins are stimulated which leads to smooth muscle relaxation
- it is short acting

- stimulates Na/K ATPase pump

- CVD - cause angina or arrhythmias
