When must all personnel wear a PFD?
All personnel within the designated water rescue area as designated by the IC, must wear approved PFD
Procedure for use of 2 of 1 Rescue Line Bag(list 5)
1-Loosen cord lock. Open bag and remove ball together with an arms length of slack line
2-Grasp throat of bag with throwing hand. Hold ball in the other hand and throw bag to victim. Always aim beyond victim to avoid injury
4-For tangle-free ball delivery, place the overhand now (located about 15 inches or 38cm from the ball) between the middle and index fingers of the throwing hand, palm up, so ball hangs below could as you coil line into your throwing hand
5-Use swinging motion (underhand may be most effective) to throw ball and coils to victim
What is the procedure for throw bags without balls?(list 4)
1-Loosen cord lock. Open bag and remove rope with an arms length of slack
2-Grasp throat of bag with throwing hand. Hold ropes end in the other hand and throw bag to the victim. Always aim above & beyond victim to avoid injury
3-On subsequent throws, simply haul enough line to reach victim. No need to weight or Re-stuff bag
4-For tangle free rope delivery, coil rope in throwing hand, then keep a grasp on the other end to maintain intact with anchor end.
