List the Safety considerations of a Structure Fire. (list 12)

A

1- Al personnel entering the hot zone shall wear PPE (incl. bunker gear, helmet, gloves, and fire boots) and SCBA
2-When making entry/exit into the hot zone, personnel shall notify the IC. The first arriving officer shall notify Fire Control when going mobile command
3- All interior teams should be equipped with a portable radio(s), a thermal imaging camera and hand lights. Manpower permitting, consideration should be given to having forcible entry tools.
4- Personnel that may encounter working fire conditions shall bring with them an appropriate hose line, consideration may be given to the type of operation being conducted, i.e. vent-enter-search, RIT, etc
5- Personnel should sound the floor prior to entry and throughout interior operations
6- Personnel shall remain in constant visual, physical and/or voice contact with their fellow crew members while in the hot zone.
7- Personnel should attempt to locate a secondary means of egress and be cognizant of their location within the structure.
8- Personnel are to be aware of their air supply at all times while in the hot zone
9- Personnel shall not stay in heavy smoke (zero visibility) conditions for long durations
10- Running Pars shall be conducted as outlined in accordance with SOG
11- Personnel shall continual collect info and assess changes in the fireground, forwarding that info through regular progress reports to the IC.
12- Under heavy smoke conditions, all personnel should maintain constant contact with a lifeline, i.e. hose line or RIT rope (for mayday situations only)
