When will move ups be initiated?(list6)

A

Move ups will be initiated once it is determined that one or more apparatus will no longer be available to provide emergency coverage for their area of responsibility. The following criteria apply:

  • once command has been established and command does not release other responding apparatus
  • once command has been established and has announced a “working fire” or has committed to an emergency operation
  • when status of apparatus returning to station “out of service”
  • when apparatus is not in its own response area and makes itself available for service, the comm op shall enter this apparatus as “available” on the air and advise the apparatus of their move up location
  • when apparatus are taken “out of service” for department business (training or mechanical)
  • when numerous incoming calls are relieved reporting a serious emergency
