List the Guidelines for Grow/Clandestine Lab incident. (List 11)***

1- Initial espouse shall follow the procedure outlined in Structure Fire SOG.
2- Upon discovery of Lab, the IC should undertake a Haz-Risk Analysis to ensure the safety of personnel is maintained.
3- notify Fire Control that the incident is a “Code Green” as per SOG
4- Request police, ambulance, fire Prevention and Hydro to the scene
5- If there are Haz-Mats present/suspected and no fire conditions exist, the IC shall: Immediately remove personnel from the area —and —- Consider a Hazmat response and subsequent operations handled as per Hazmat SOG.
6- If there are Hazmats present/suspected with fire condition, the IC shall consider a Hazmat response and subsequent opes handled as per Hazmat with fire SOG.
7- A Key consideration should be the likelihood of hostile civilians(the perps) still inside the premise
8- In the case of a marijuana grow op the IC shall consider that the structure must be electrically energized at the outside source of supply, i.e. from the street, not at the meter. I a Clan lab is in operation the IC shall consider that no part of the equipment is shut down including hydro to the structure.
9- If it is unlikely that persons are present inside the structure and the situation is deemed as unsafe, the IC should consider withdrawal of personnel from the interior until such time as a) Hydro has confirmed the de-energizing of the premise b) Adequate ventilation has occurred to ensure visibility for personnel c) An incident reconnaissance takes place with all safety issues identified and/or controlled(personnel to be assigned for this purpose)
10- IC should consider whether regular firefighting tactics should continue or whether personnel should be withdrawn and the fire fought in a defensive mode until dangerous exposures are controlled
11- IC must be cognizant that this is a crime scene and that access for firefighting is permitted under law. Once firefighting ops are terminated, personnel should remain withdrawn and the scene isolated until police collect the information required to obtain a warrant.
