What is the procedure for crews when dispatched to a 2nd alarm or greater?

Answer 2

• Crews will receive all appropriate/pertinent info on the StationAlerting System/station talk groups and a channel not being used for the incident.
• Crews will acknowledge the dispatch and information on the radio channel they were dispatched on.
• once the Fire officer has confirmed their response, they will switch to the operational channel of the call and monitor only.
• Crews will not transmit on the operational channel until either contacted by the IC or until they arrive at the scab of the incident.
• Once on scene crews will advise Command of their arrival.
