8- any incident that is charged with profound emotion
9- an incident in which the circumstances were so unusual or the sights and sounds so distressing as to produce a high level of immediate or delayed emotional reaction

What is CIS Debriefing?
- Led by PST members with the support of an EAP Mental Health Professional Counsellor
- Conducted within 24-72 hours at a mutually agreed upon location and time
- A more in-depth confidential non-evaluative discussion of involvement, thoughts and emotional impact resulting from the incident
- Education on stress reactions and coping skills is included
- Session lasts up to 3hrs
