Ketorolac Mechanism
Capital:
Inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins to decrease pain and inflammation
New Britain:
Nonselective competitive antagonist of COX causing prostaglandin synthesis inhibition, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties. Acts peripherally not centrally and therefor does not possess the sedative effects of narcotics.

Allergy, Pregnancy, Renal insufficiency, Peptic ulcer, Potential for bleeding/likely to need surgery, Undifferentiated abdominal pain, Suspected fracture,
Do not combine with another NSAID

GI bleeding, Edema, Bronchospasm, Dizziness, Hypertension, Nausea/vomiting, Hypotension, Sedation
