Strabismus
Drooping or falling of the upper eyelid.
* This condition is sometimes called “lazy eye”, but that term
normally refers to the condition amblyopia.
PTOSIS (BLEHAROPTOSIS)
Inability to close the eyelids completely.
LAGOPHTHALMOS
- Bulging of the eye anteriorly out of the orbit.
EXOPHTHALMOS
Eyelid (lower) is turned inward so that your eyelashes rub against
your eyeball
ENTROPION
Eyelid turns outward.
* Inner eyelid surface exposed and prone to irritation.
ECTROPION
Stye” / Blepharitis
* Localized swelling of the eyelid that may be external or internal and
usually is a pyogenic (typically staphylococcal) infection or abscess.
* Obstruction and infection of an eyelash follicle and adjacent glands
of Zeis or Moll glands.
HORDEOLUM

on nearby objects

Nearsightedness
Small, slow-growing lump or cyst that develops within the eyelid.
* They are not usually painful and rarely last longer than a few
weeks.
* Meibomian gland (produce oil)- blocked or inflamed.
CHALAZION
- Pupil of one eye differs in size from the pupil of the
other eye.
ANOSOCORIA
Excessive constriction of the pupil
MIOSIS
Excessive dilatation of the pupil
