Rules of Air management
- Air management is critical to the health and safety of personnel
- personnel shall check their SCBA at the beginning of each shift to ensure their air cylinder is full
- personnel are to be aware of their air supply levels as well as their crew members at all times while in hot zone
- personnel shall exit from an IDLH atmosphere before the consumption of reserve air supply begins
- personnel shall take immediate action upon activation of the reserve air supply. they shall notify the remained of their crew to exit the IDLH atmosphere immediately and notify IC
- All personnel are responsible to report low air warning alarm at an emergency scene to the IC as it may be an indication that a crew member is in trouble

their low air alarm (vibralert) activates at 1/3 of air supply remaining

the remaining 33% of the air supply is the emergency reserve and only to be used in the event
