Purpose of RVLIS
How does work(ranges)
Provide indication of Rx vessel level during accident conditions
Takes various pressure and temperatures to develop head based on water height and steam water mixtures interactions to provide density compensated level
Upper(loops-top) , full(all) , dynamic (RCP on void content)

How is RCS contained without CIV’s w/respect to RVLIS?
Inside CNMT uses sensor bellows & check valves (RCS on one side of bellows, did water on other side, if break happens, check valve will isolate)
Outside CNMT uses hydraulic isolators
(Capillary fluid separated by bellows and deflection Rod sends signal if excess deviation)
Purpose of RVRLIS
Consists of….
Provide indication of vessel level during refueling
WR level, NR level, visual level, ultrasonic level
Precautions & limitations of RVRLIS?
LI-400 shall remain in service Lpzr < 25% cold cal—->Lpzr > 50%
Rapid changes in level can cause unequal pressures created in gas spaces in RCS due to restrictions in cross tie lines
