Difference between buildings & safeguards w/S signal vs. w/o S signal?
S signal
- disch of eccs, CS, ccw, RHR hx room put through charcoal filter and HEPA via E-1
- rest of loads still go through roughing and HEPA on E-2 via E-2 (some bldg, CCP 1-3)
No S signal
- all loads go through roughing and HEPA on E-2 via E-1 & 2(x-conn)
Difference between safeguards only w/S signal vs. w/o S signal?
S signal
- all loads go through charcoal filter on E-1, via selected fan
No S signal
- all loads go though roughing and HEPA on E-2 via selected fan
What does POV-1 & 2 do?
Provide control logic for FHB and ABVS
What does status reset switch do?
Causes logic circuits to reset….. - switch positions - selected equipment - selected mode - current conditions
What will fan reset button do if pressed?
All fans will stop Modes will have to be reset (If eccs pump running, fan will not stop and system will op in B & S mode)
What will selecting S signal test do if selected? If take switch to reset?
Place ABVS in B & S mode w/ S signal Place ABVS in B & S mode
How can you tell if damper or fan out of position per mode?
POV-1 & 2, HMI (VB-4), VB-4 status panel
If ABVS in B & S mode…..E-1 trips….what happens?
Shifts to SGO mode
If in BO mode what will shift ABVS-> BSG mode? If signal goes away, will ABVS shift back automatically?
- SI signal - any eccs pump starts (RHR, CCP, SI, CS) - manually selected (VB-4) - S signal test switch Yes, to whatever mode is selected
Required conditions for supply fan start? What will start non selected fan?
Disch damper open Inlet damper closed Exh fan running Selected fan fails….30 sec low flow
What will S/d supply fan in ABVS?
- low flow < 90% ( > 90 sec after start) - loss control power - fan reset ( unless eccs pump on) - disch damper not fully open - exh fan trips …..after 30 sec delay
Auto S/d of exh fans in ABVS?
- low flow < 90% (> 90 sec after start) - loss control power - fan reset pushed ( unless eccs pump on) - associated mode dampers not in req positions
