Describe basic lineup and description of FHBV
Two supply fans, one running, one stby (S-1, S-2)
mode dampers
loads
three exhaust fans, E-4 normally running (no charcoal filter)
E-5 and 6 iodine removal fans (have charcoal filters)
all exhaust fans have roughing and hepa filters
what will happen to FHBV if RE-58 or 59 alarm on Hi Radiation?
E-4 will shutdown
E-5 or 6 will start (whichever one is selected)
Mode dampers will reposition
What are the different ways to put FHBV in iodine removal mode?
select iodine removal mode on VB-4
Hi-Rad on RE-58 or 59
depress iodine removal mode pushbutton on SFP deck
what is the apppximate flowrate of the FHBV supply fans when compared to the exhaust fans? Why?
supply ~ 23,000 cfm
exhuast ~ 35,000cfm
normally one of each running, keeping a negative pressure on FHB

- loss control power to POV (125 vdc)
- fan reset pushed
- no exhaust fan running
- mode damper not fully open
