Leukocoria (white pupil), often noted in flash photos of the child or during routine ophthalmoscopy, white pupillary reflex instead of the normal red reflex, squint.

How is a retinoblastoma diagnosed?

A
  1. Clinical appearance under general anaesthetic
  2. Biopsy NOT required
  3. USS/MRI may be required to stage the disease

What is the management for a retinoblastoma?

A
  1. Small tumours - local cryotherapy or laser therapy

2. Large tumours - chemotherapy or removal of the eye
