Q

What is the management for GORD in infants?

A
  1. Mostly resolve by 9 months and when infants sits upright.
  2. Smaller more frequent bottle feeds (150ml/kg/d over 6-7 feeds).
  3. Keep upright after feeds, consider cow’s milk protein free diet, thickened formula, Gaviscon.
  4. Refer to paediatrics if above doesn’t help.
  5. H2 antagonist/PPI if resistant to conservative management, fundoplication if severe.
