What is reactive arthritis, what causes it, and in what paediatric age groups does it present?

  1. Transient arthritis
  2. In response to infection in another part of the body (typically a URTI).
  3. 2-10 years old (boys>girls)

What is this a presentation of?

Pain, redness, swelling of the joint. Child is not systemically unwell, mild/no fever. Transient.

  1. Normal/mildly raised CRP/ESR
