- UTI - dip urine
- Mesenteric adenitis - abdominal pain with recent viral illness
- Appendicitis

What are the work up investigations for acute abdomen in children?
A
- HR, BP, RR, temperature, glucose
- Urine dipstick for UTI/ketones
- Abdominal and PR exam
- Check testes in boys and perform bhCG in girls
- AXR, US, FBC, CRP
