• Optician will do a series of eye teste, visual acuity exam which measures vision at various distances
• If have cataracts referred to an eye specialists for testing and treatment

• Detected in routine eye test before seeing symptoms
• Eye drops- reduce pressure
• Laser treatment- open blocked drainage tubes
• Surgery- improve drainage of fluids
• Regular appointments

• Anti-VEGF medication: prevents growth of new blood vessal. VEGF helps grow blood vessels in the eye, medicines bloock this chemical . Its a fine needle in the eye after taking anaethesia
• Laser surgery: Destroy abnormal blood vessels. Only suitable if the abnormal blood vesssels are not close to the fovea
