  • Anti-discriminatory practice: All service users should be treated fairly
  • Valuing diversity: Accepting and respecting differences by seeing everyone as a unique individual
  • Using effective communication: Using vocab that is understood and age appropriate
  • Following agreed ways of working: Following organisation policies and procedures so care provided is correct and safe
  • Training and professional development opportunities for staff: Ensures staff are aware of the correct procedures
  • Mentoring, monitofing and performance management of staff: An experienced person shares knowledge and skills with another to help them develop
  • Attending staff meetings to discuss issue/practice: Concerns can be shared & issues raised
