What is Coeliac disease?
Coeliac disease is a condition where your immune system attacks your own tissues when you eat gluten. It stops you from taking in nutrients.
What factors cause Coeliac disease?
When small intestines becomes inflamed and unable to absorb nutrients. Its caused by an adverse reaction to gluten, a dietary protein in cereal

- Food moving too slowly, not enough time to absorb water leading to diarrhoea
- Food moving too quickly, too much absorbed water, leading to constipation

- Abdominal pain
- Change in bowel habits
- Bloating
- Excessive wind
- Toilet urgency

- Modify fibre in diet
- Monitor diet
- Regular meal times
- Reduce alcohol/ fizzy drinks

What is gallstones disease?
They’re small stones that can cause sudden episodes of severe tummy pain
What factors cause gallstones disease?
- High levels of cholesterol inside gallbladder
- High levels of wast product, bilirubin, inside gallbladder. These imbalances causes tiny crystals to develop in the bile, which can grow overtime
What are the symptoms of gallstones disease?
Abdominal pain for 1 to 5 hours
* Centre of abdomen
* Just under ribs on the right, can spread to shoulder blade
