What is the definition of values of care?
Core principles that underpin care work. They aim to eliminate discrimination, reduce inqualities and help ensure individuals care needs are met.
What is equality?
Ensuring that a person is treated failry and given the same opportunities regardless of differences.
What is diversity?
Accepting and respecting individuals differences
What are rights?
Rights are what everyone is legally entitiled to and are enshrined in legislation.
What are the 6 rights?

What is the right to choice?
Giving individuals control over their lives
What is the right to confidentiality?
Private information should only be shared on a need-to-know basis with those directly involved.
What is the right of protection from abuse and harm?
Care settings shoud have safeguarding procedures safety measures and follow health and safety legislations.
What is the right to equal and fair treatment?
Individuals shouled be treated in accordance with the law and their needs, and given the same opportunities.
What is the right to consultation?
Individuals should be asked for their opinions and views about the type of care they would like.
What is the right to life?
An individuals life is protected by law, everyones right to life should be valued and respected.
