A

Its a legal requirement that records are kept, including if they refused treatment. The information recorded is:
* The name of the person
* The date, time and place of accident
* The details of the injury/illness
* The treatment given, including what happened after the treatment

What occurs during the evacuation procedures as a response to incidents?

A

Evacuation procedures for emergencies such as fires, bomb scares and gas leaks will vary for different settings. Evacuation routes must be kept clear, well lit and signposted. During a fire evacuation the actions to follow is ACT FAST:
* Act fast, dont panic, sign alarm
* Control and contain fire if trained to
* Telephone the fire brigade
* Follow emergency procedures
* Assist everyones safety
* Support others and ensure no one returns towards fire
* Try to remain calm

What occurs during the follow-up review of critical incidents and emergencies as a response to incidents?

A

Casualties, witnesses and those who respond to injurues will be affected. Counselling will need to be offered to everyone involved and monitored on an ongoing basis. Implementing actions and recommendations from the findings of reviews is a follow-up process.

A

Depending on the incident, external agencies like police, fire and social services may be invloved in reporting stages. Employers have to report suspected outbreaks of infections. Incidents that require certain work-related injuries, diseases and dangerous occurances are reported to the HSE or local authority
