-detailing relevant theories concepts and studies

what is in the method and what is it?
-sufficient detail for other researchers to replicate the study
-DESIGN= e.g independent groups, observation, reasons/justification for choice
-SAMPLE= information related to the people involved in the study, how many there were, demographic, sampling method and target pop
-APPARATUS/MATERIALS = detail of any assessment instruments used and any other materials
-PROCEDURE= a recipe style, everything that occurred in the investigation from beginning to end e.g briefing standardized instructions and debrief
-ETHICS= an explanation of how these were addressed within the study
what is results and what is included in the results?
-summarise the key findings
-descriptive stats e.g tables, graphs and charts, central tendency, dispersion
-INFERENTIAL STATS= reference to the choice of stats test, calculated and critical value , level of sig, final outcome e.g hypothesis that was rejected
-raw data/calc in appendix
-qualitative methods of research likely to have analysis of themes or categories.
