-all knowledge derived from sensory exp e.g observation and experiments , evidence seen

-has not been tested using empirical methods it cannot classify as being SCIENTIFIC
-physiological,saftey,love, esteem,actualisation
why is personal subjective exp a problem in psych
-personal s.e is things that happen in your head unique to individual
-cannot easily be investigated w scientific procedures
agreements with the problem in psych
-cannot be verified and general laws cant be established and individual exp is too varied
disagreements w the problem in psych
-the hard line science and determinism of the biological and behaviorist approaches shouldn’t be apart of psychology as it ignores the nature of psych(the mental life)
