  • In all species
  • Serous gland
  • Location: fossa retromandibularis (caudal to ramus mandible and vental to ala atlantis)
  • Ductus parotideus → papilla buccosalivaris → vestibulum buccale

  • Mucoserous secretion (mixed)
  • Location: between v. maxillaris and v. linguofacialis
  • Ductus mandibularis → caruncula sublingualis → cavum sublinguale apicale
