what is the unmoved mover?
Whatever is put into motion is put into motion by something else, reduction of something from potentiality to actuality. cant go onto infinity as there would be no firs mover
what was aquinas’ quotations about potentiality to aulatiy?
For motion is nothing else than the reduction f something from potentiality to actuality
What is the uncaused causer?

What did aquinas say about the cause on its own?
“impossible in which a thing is found to be the efficient cause of itself”
What is contingency?
Depmeding on something else, contrast it with necessary which means independent of everything else. the universe exists continently- depends on etxtenral factors
What is a thought point towards contigency?
Numbers can have an infinite regress, so why cant chains and why does it have to be a christian god.
What is the Kalam argument?
Means speaking, everything that begins to exist must have had a cause, the universee must have had a cause as there was a time when It didn’t exist. the abrahamic tradition had religious stories that are creation.
What did al-ghazali put forward?
it is an axiom of reason that a;l that comes to be must have had a cause to bring it about”
Who supports the Kalam argument?
William Craig; who compares it with the library of books
