Using genetically altered animal organs bread for transplantation into other species ie human beings

16th century English physician who found out how blood circulates around the body by analysing a dissected pig

Modern utilitarian philosopher who coined the term speciesim, to describe the discrimination of prioritising one species (our own) over others
Tom Regan?
Another contemporary thinker who also agrees with singer and says animals should have the same rights as humans.

A charity that promotes animal welfare and argues against the use of animals for medical research

A not for profit organisation that explains why animals are used in scientific and medical research

Weapons of mass destruction, which can cause widespread destruction to human beings and their environment.
Detterent?
A nuclear weapon which is kept as a threat to aggressors
Deterrence theory?
The theory that possessing nuclear weapons will dissuade an enemy from iniaiting an attack
CND?
Campaign for nuclear disarmament- a pressure group which try to persuade the government to dismantle their nuclear arsenals.
Ministry of defence?
British government responsible for national security and for implementing the national defence policy
Trident?
Name of Britains nuclear deterrent weapons, consists of 4 submarines each carrying 16 missiles and each missile has 8 nuclear warheads
