WHAT ARE EXAMPLES OF ROUTINE TASKS?

A

For example a waiter is be expected to:

  • Clean restaurant
  • Setting tables
  • Taking orders
  • Serving beverages
  • Presenting and processing bills
  • Cleaning after guests had dined
  • Greeting customers

Eg → Housekeeper

  • Vacuum rooms
  • Change bed linen
  • Replenish mini bar
  • Replenish toiletries and fresh towels

WHAT IS A ROOSTERED TASK?

A

Tasks which need to be completed less regularly, but require someone to be allocated the tasks to do them during a shift. (Rotation)

(Creates a sense of accountability) (done in addition to routine task)

A

Need to be completed occasionally in addition to routine tasks.

A

Eg → Front of house/ food and beverage

Changing menus on a table or cleaning out the workstation cutlery drawer.
- Inventory check

Eg → Accounts and finance
- Monthly report → how much money each dept made
- Able to redistribute hours of employees
Eg → HR
- Checking the up-to-date qualifications of all employees
- Able to undergo training
