Work practice can be maintained through following workplace documents such as a cleaning schedule, task sheet, sds and incident report forms. Following these documents ensures accountability amongst staff and this allows the workplace policies to be adhered to.
Work practices can be maintained within an establishment to meet the required standards through the training of all staff. By training employees it ensures that the work practices are achieved and fulfilled to the appropriate standard.
Reporting ensures that policies are enforced through measuring and monitoring

Ensuring all staff are qualified(if in a large establishment provide with training) alongside induction thus enforcing the same knowledge and understanding of workplace practices
Appropriate Signage(Universal) e.g. Handwashing signage with the 5 steps of on it ensuring all workers maintain personal hygiene therefore preventing the cross contamination and ensuring customers are provided with food at optimum quality
Externally enforced by legislation and well-known codes of practice with consequences of fines and payments
