  • Wearing correct PPE such as enclosed leather shoes whilst mopping after a service period to prevent slips, trips and falls
  • Contaminated linen (handling and storage)
  • Displaying signage. EG: PPE, caution wet floor
  • Consulting SDS when handling hazardous substances
  • Induction and ongoing training

WHAT ARE HYGIENIC WORK PRACTICES WHEN CLEANING?

  • Regularly washing hands. EG: Changing activities, before and after completing tasks
  • Changing water in cleaning bucket to prevent additional contamination
  • Cleaned and well maintained equipment in accordance to cleaning schedule
  • Regularly washing linen. EG: Uniform, microfibre cloth, table cloths
