What us a diverticula?
A
Diverticula are small bulges or pockets that can develop in the lining of the intestine as you get older.

How does it present?
A
Normally asymptomatic, dysphagia and regurgitation can occur with a pharyngeal pouch

A
Ba swallow

How is it treated?
A
Surgically and endoscopically

When there are no symptoms of diverticula what is it called?
A
Diverticulitis
